There are also direct international flights from the United States and Europe, with connections. The ride from Carrasco international airport to downtown takes, approximately, 25 minutes.

Nationals of certain countries can visit Uruguay for up to three months without a visa, Visas are required to enter Uruguay by nationals from Albania, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Slovakia, Guyana, India, Morocco, Romania and Russia. National from countries not mentioned above will not need a visa to visit Uruguay as tourists.
